Welcome to the London County Council Tramways Trust website.

The trust are currently funding the restoration of  London United Tramways 159 by the National Tramway Museum in Crich, Derbyshire. Photographs showings stages of it’s restoration, which is due for completion in 2011, can be found in the Gallery.

Previous projects funded by the Trust include the restoration to operational condition of London tramcars, London County Council 106 and London Transport 1622 which can also be enjoyed at the National Tramway Museum, Crich.

The photograph below is of London County Council No 1 "Bluebird" of  1932 vintage in it’s original blue and cream livery. Currently this tramcar is on display at Crich, it is possible that it will be the subject of a future restoration project.
